Neon Tomatoes grew out of Diann Hammer’s love for creating songs for her grandchildren. She would make up silly songs on walks or any time her granddaughter would ask, “Grandma make me a song about . . . “In turn, her grandchildren started making up their own songs and continue to do so today.

Diann is an accomplished songwriter who writes across many different genres. In 2016 she was the grand prize winner in Session II John Lennon Songwriting Contest in the Country category and in 2018 she had the number one song in the Frank Brown International Song Contest.

More recently, she has had several indie artist cuts from her catalog.  She is currently working on a multi album project for mainstream listeners under the name, Hammer Vibes.

Diann writes the songs for Neon Tomatoes with her husband, Mitch Hammer, and Debbie Paschung Bible an amazing songwriter she met through a Nashville songwriters’ group. Their talents together comprise the writing team for Neon Tomatoes. She is grateful to have found cowriters who are as passionate about creating music for children as she is.
